I got this with an ASUS motherboard and am ready to delete it! I have not found any detailed help on how to use it. do I install the game first? then what? There is really nothing out there for dummies! Thanks.....

For an image I need to enable RMPS, Securom etc. These settings are found in Advanced Preferences, however it seems the checkboxes are disabled for me.

Some Help Needed! - Hitman(Blood Money) Securom detects virtual drive! :(
Hi All,
A couple of years back I made an image of my Hitman(Blood Money) using DT. I can't remember the version. It is too long ago. I do this with all the games I buy cause I'm one of those people that keep my originals locked away to prevent them from getting damaged.
To those who don't believe me, tough!
We built a new house and 2 months after moving in, our house was broken in to and all my game discs were stolen together with a lot of other stuff :( yh yh cry me a river I know...
But I want to play Hitman(BM) again using my image I created from back then. I am running the following:
Windows 7 SP1 64bit
DT Advanced Edition 4.41.0314.0232
No other virtual software
I have created an IDE virtual device and mounted the image but I keep getting the securom pop-up message. So I went in to the preferences of DT and enabled the SECUROM option under advanced and it still pops up.
Has anyone got any ideas?

Copying a Daemon tools image
Hey, so the thing is I've saved a disk as a .mds file. Now I want to copy the daemon tools image over to my desktop computer. But the .mds file is 1kb. The disk was about 3gb of data so for starters this cant be right. Also when i do copy it over it cant mount the image. So how can I copy an image that I have on one computer over to another in a manner that works.

I'm toally new to DAEMON. Previously I used alcohol 120% but appearently their website is down for quite some time now. May be they are out of business?
Right now I'm thinking of buying DAEMON tools ,advanced edition.
I will use DAEMON to backup my DVD movies ,blu-ray movies ,games and to mount images (to play games)
I'm pretty sure all discs sold today shipped with some kind of annoying copy-protection
So, is there a known copy protection that DAEMON currently doesn't support?

skylanders spyro' adventure
hello forum ,
i have purchased the game skylanders spyro' adventure by activision and i was trying all day yesterday to create the backup image to play from the pc harddrive.
however the game keeps asking for the original disk no matter how slow i read from the disk when creating the image.
it uses securom 7.4 (00000008) according to the program "ProtectionId".
as i am new to trying this type of thing im asking for help...
is there anything else i should be doing or is this version of securom so new that daemon tools cant read the disk at this moment in time.......

Can't use iso of game. securom protection
I have daemon tools lite DTLite4356-0091 and mount most of my game discs with it. I bought gta 4 the other day and made an iso of both discs so I wouldn't have to put the dvd in everytime. I get a message saying conflict with emulation software. Is there a workaround for this?

How to backup Playstation games with Daemon Tools Pro?
Is it possible? If so, which settings do I choose? The reason I ask is because I was trying to play Final Fantasy VIII in my PS3, but you apparently can't get the game to run at all if you have the original release. Only the Platinum Edition works or something which seems pretty stupid to me. So, I was going to make a backup of my disc to play on a PC emulator.

Can't make backup copy of DVD
Hi, I've just finished making digital backups of my entire audio CD collection.
I'm now looking to backup the 2 video DVD's that I own, but I've had no success. I tried using each of DT's output formats (MDS/MDF, MDX and ISO), with no success. For the MDS/MDF & MDX formats, I used the Profile of 'DVD-Video'. When this did not work, I tried other 'protection-scheme' profiles (i.e., SafeDisc, etc.), again with no success.
I used the ProtectionID utility to see if the DVD's were protected, and sure enough they were (CSS/CPMM), as follows:
[I] Init cd/dvd sector scan for Drive E
[Disk Heuristics] -> Flag : 00000000000000000000000000010011 (0x00000013)
[i] Detected CSS / CPMM Protection! (0x00000001)
[i] Region Lock Detected -> RegionBitMask: 00000001
[.] Region(s) allowed : 1 (Drive is ok to play this region)

Having trouble with DVD using SecuROM 7.39.0004

So I ran CopyProtectionID on my DVD. It's an Acupuncture DVD Program that I legally purchased and the report told me it had SecuROM 7.39.0004.
I downloaded Daemon Tools Pro Advanced v5.0.0316.0317 and created an MDS image using the profile "New SecuROM".
I used all the default settings.
Retries on Bad Blocks 3.
DPM Speed 16.0x
And then afterwards I mount the image, and try to run the program.
It tells me

The Sims 3 - Says can't verify disc is a valid copy
I got the base The Sims 3 game from the library and installed it on my computer. I have to give the CD back so I tried mounting the iso file with Daemon Tools Lite. The game starts to load but then it says "We are unable to verify that your disc is a valid copy of The Sims 3. Please contact customer service." Is there anything I can do to get around this? Would burning the disc image to a CD or DVD help?

Backup with Protect DiSC v9

Sorry for my bad english but I'm french :tongue:
I have bought an expensive book on amazon with a dvd and I want to make a copy of it to preserve it.
I have discovered that it's a protected dvd and after having used ProtectionId, protection is displayed:
Dvd file scan: Protect DiSC v9.5.0 [Build 0x16008 / 90120] detected!
Dvd sector scan: Disc Protection: ProtectDisc / v 9.0.1103 ProtectCD
I have made a dvd image with the corresponding profile in DT but when I mount this image in ide or scsi, I get the following message:

GTA EFLC unable to detect virtual drive?
My laptop is unable to read GTA EFLC DVD so i created an image file and mounted it using daemon tools.But the game is unable to detect the virtual drive, i even changed the drive letters but no use,it is asking for a DVD.Anybody help me with this?

Can't make working image of Blazblue Calamity Trigger.
Recently, I have downloaded the trial version of Daemon Tools Pro Advance to see how good it was with backing up my PC game collection. So far, it works good with the majority of my games, except one, Blazblue Calamity Trigger. The only copy protection I'm aware of on this game is Windows Live, but the game keeps recognizing my disc image. Has anyone created a successful image of this game and if so what settings did they use?
If its helpful, the following error message occurs when the game recognizes my image file mounted with Daemon Tools. [1503] Please insert an Original Disc.

Cannot use YASU

I am sorry for posting this to Off topic, but i cant create a thread in other sections. Becouse of that I am asking mod to move my thread to relevant section.
I have problem with YASU 1.6.9040 and DT Lite 4.47.1.0337
And yes, i have read all threads i found about that issue. Simply YASU cannot find daemon.exe or DTPro.exe in directory of DT Lite. I made a copy of original DTlite.exe and renamed it. After this was done i have got a new Error: "Unable to authenticate DAEMON Tools Lite or DAEMON Tools Pro". Also creating a new .dll with the same name as .exe didnt solve the problem.
Its sad that there are many unanswered topics from 2010 with tha same problems.
Can anyone fix that problem ? Do you know about versions that works ? At last why I can create thread only in off topic section ?

Daemon Tools Lite crashes when reading Disc
Using DAEMON Tools Lite v4.47.1 (with SPTD 1.83) with Win7.
Creating backup images (MDX) of music CD's that accompany sheet music books for the guitar.
I have backed up some 5 discs already. Now suddenly stumped on why DTLite hangs when trying to backup Complete Giuliani Studies disks one and two, which work perfectly, are clean and in pristine condition.
What could the problem be?
